I do not intend to go into a lot of detail regarding what this blog is about. That will become increasingly obvious in the posts that I write and the subjects I introduce. Suffice it to say that the focus of “Thinking from the Margins” will broad enough to include most of the themes that interest me and ideas that I feel passionately about. These tend to center within two basic areas of human experience. These are areas of religion and politics. So more concretely what can readers expect from this blog? The subjects will range from Biblical issues such as the origins and nature of early Yahwist monotheism to the origins and nature of early Christianity. It will definitely also extend into the subject of the goddesses of ancient Paganism and what is commonly called the “divine feminine.” Certainly the spiritual traditions of both the Christian Virgin Mary and the great goddess of Egypt Isis / Aset will regularly be discussed here.
Since I am convinced that God is a god of justice, the subject of political economic justice, the politics of socialism and the kingdom of god will also play a prominent role is discussions here. Finally of course any particular subject that momentarily interests me may find itself within this blog.
What about my self? I am not an academic or a professional writer. However I am fairly well read in certain subjects and I write well enough to communicate effectively regarding those subjects which interest me. Perhaps my writtings will be able to communicate some of the passion and interest that I have regarding some of those subjects. However even if I get only the satisfaction of writing only for my self alone I think that this project will still be worth doing
